In today’s world, where women are facing gender inequality, sexual abuse, molestation, and rape, it has become essential to learn self-defense in order to protect themselves from evil humans.
Women has to be prepared themselves for such attacks, especially women living in our nation. According to a survey conducted by Thomson Reuters Foundation, India was found out to be the most dangerous nation for sexual violence against women.
India for a long time, has grappled with the issue of sexual violence against women. In the month that followed the 2012 case, the Central Government has advanced to pass legislation for increasing the penalties for rape, sexual abuse and sexual assault, which also included - introducing death penalty for the accused and enlarging the jail sentences.

World is changing at a faster pace and becoming uncertain and unpredictable. Hence, self-defense should become a priority in women’s to-do list.

Some of the best martial arts for women's self-defence are Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Krav Maga, classic Karate moves, Jeet Kune Do, Aikido etc.
In spite of making self-defence a must for women, the training is not that much common in tier-2 or tier-3 cities but it is easily available in most of the metro cities in the country. The most ideal approach to locate the correct self-protection class for women, is to take the first step to a martial arts studio and giving it a try.
Women account for about half of the population and they have the rights to live without any fear of getting raped or abused. Women has an image of having less courage or power. So, they need to possess some kind of martial art to defend themselves from the crimes.
