As a part of controlling and taking preventive measures over the further spreading of Corona virus, Maharashtra government has ordered for a shutdown of shops in regions of Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Pimpri Chinchwad until the end of March. They also added that this won’t hamper the functioning of public transport as well as essential services.
As of Friday, there has also been 3 fresh new cases reported in Maharashtra taking the total number of infected cases to 52 within the state. As per the data provided by Govt of Gujarat, there were 2 fresh new cases reported in Ahmedabad and 1 person from Vadodara who have also tested positive as of Friday. There are also many more cases reported in other states of India making the toll of infected cases rising to more than 200.
As a part of control over the spread, Prime Minister Narendra Modi have also requested people in the country to stay indoors as much as possible and have also asked everyone to follow the instructions given by the Health departments of the state as well central Government properly. He also announced to the entire nation regarding the ‘Janta Curfew’ which would be observed on Sunday, 22nd March by everyone in the country and also about thanking the medical officials in the country, by clapping hands at 5PM from their homes, for their frontline combatting to save everyone in the country from the Corona virus Pandemic.
