Pune APMC announced that wholesale grocery and vegetable sub-market will resume its operations from April 15th
On Monday, Poona Merchant Chamber and representatives of potters and traders decided to open the vegetable sub-markets as well as wholesale grocery at Moshi, Khadki, Uttamnnagar and Manjri commencing from 15th of April.
Wholesale grocery traders has also decided to close the market situated in Gultekadi, Market Yard from 13th April since police is not permitting the entry of personnel with ID cards which is issued by Pune Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) and authorised by the district collector.
A joint meeting held by Divisional commissioner Deepak Mhaisekar and Pune police commissioner with the representatives of potters and traders, decided that there won’t be any obstruction to their trade in future if they present the identity card issued by Pune APMC, said Pune APMC administrator BJ Deshmukh.
Pune APMC also announced that the grocery wholesale market will commence its operations and hence supply of essential goods in the city would be regular.
The wholesale vegetable market in and around market yard areas will remain closed for the coming few days, since many positive Covid-19 cases were detected in that area, said Deshmukh. He also added that a traders meeting has been scheduled on Tuesday.
