In Lockdown 4.0 Ola And Uber Has Restarted Their Service In 160 And 31 Cities Respectively


After the Government of India made a relaxation in certain rules laid on lockdown, the major cab companies in the country Ola and Uber has announced on 18th of May regarding resuming back their services in many cities of the country where the intensity of the pandemic is not very high. As per the guidelines made in the latest lockdown measures the central government has allowed for the functioning of various public transport which includes functioning of Ola and Uber as well but the final decision regarding the rules within each state is made by the state government of every state.

In one of the recent statements made by Uber they mentioned regarding their resuming of services in various cities and also announced that all the details regarding cities where they will resume back the services will be updated in the Uber App. Uber also announced that the users can use Uber App to deliver the essential goods under their Uber Essential category and this service would be made available in cities such as Mumbai,  Nashik, Bhopal, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar and Indore.

The cab company Ola also made their announcement regarding their resuming of services in over 160 cities where they would maintain highly strict safety precautions to ensure safety of both passengers and drivers. Both the cab companies also laid down various rules after they announced regarding their resuming of services.

Some of the new rules laid down by both the companies are as follows: - Facemasks has been made compulsory for both cab driver and the passenger and if either one does not follow it then the other person can cancel the ride. During the entire ride AC wouldn't be switched on in the car and instead the windows of the car will be rolled down in order to ensure proper air circulation. For each ride maximum passengers that could travel has been reduced to two and both of them has to be seated in the back seat of the car. Both the cab companies also promised that they would take proper care regarding the sanitation of each car and would also provide proper sanitation kits to the drivers.
